Read the Message from the Chairman

As a visionary and Baruch College graduate with entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Merians founded Hygrade Delivery and Distribution Corporation in 1965 as the parent company to a number of smaller transportation operations that he established in previous years.  Due to his leadership success, he was awarded the rights to operate nationally in 1980.

Later in 1987, Mr. Merians spearheaded the creation and design of a comprehensive Warehouse Management System targeted specifically for use in the furniture industry.  This led to the 1995 launch of Hygrade Integrated Logistic Systems, an organization specializing in consulting and logistic solutions for Big Ticket deliveries.

In 2000, Hygrade consolidated and emerged as Home Delivery America (HDA).  HDA’s focus upon white glove, last mile delivery more accurately reflected the company's primary growth direction.  As one of the industry leaders with over 40 years experience, Mr. Merians' extensive skill set includes logistics, consulting, client development and business start-ups.

David L. Boyne

Chief Financial Officer

Holding a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting, Mr. Boyne graduated from Rutgers University in 1982.  He began his career in the insurance industry as an Auditor while earning his CPA in 1984.  Changing fields, he then moved to the manufacturing sector and held various finance positions such as Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, and ultimately Controller.

Having accelerated quickly and gained tremendous experience in both consumer and industrial products, he was asked to oversee an international manufacturing operation.  At this time, Mr. Boyne moved away from the traditional finance role to gain experience with company expansions, governmental affairs, and international trade.

After a successful reorganization, he returned to a conventional role as the Chief Financial Officer for Home Delivery America.  Over the last ten years, Mr. Boyne has worked closely with the Chairman/CEO in shaping the company's future with its rapid expansion and conversion to an ESOP company.  Additionally, Mr. Boyne is serving his hometown with a second term as Councilman as well as sitting on the Planning Board in a concerted effort to serve the community.

Vice President of Operations

Mr. Renaldi has been with Home Delivery America for over 14 years where he first began his career as an office manager earning his way up to his current position of Vice President of Operations.  Prior to joining HDA, he worked on a delivery team for several years gaining invaluable hands-on experience doing white glove in home delivery of appliances, bedding and furniture.

During his tenure, he has developed contractor and employee training across a variety of delivery models and implemented numerous optimization and cost cutting programs.  Additionally he has successfully managed and grown operations ranging in size from one truck per day up to over sixty trucks per day in an array of locales.  Mr. Renaldi also has broad knowledge in client-carrier relationship management which has proven to be effective and advantageous for both HDA and the client.

Jane Quan-Shau

Vice President Risk Managment - Safety and Compliance

Graduating from Iona College in 1980, Ms.Quan-Shau began her career working diligently on various labor and OSHA safety compliance projects.  Early on, Ms. Quan-Shau entered the Logistics industry within our organization and has served the company for over 26 years.  Over the years, she has carried the responsibility of being an officer of the company at different levels and finally settling in her current position of Vice President Risk Management.  In this role, she is accountable for identifying any potential risk and ensuring that Home Delivery America is meeting various standards as set forth in multiple contracts both internally and externally.

Ms. Quan-Shau's ability to assess and prioritize the probability of risk has proven to be a valuable asset in monitoring and controlling the impact of any uncertainty in legal liabilities.  She has proactively seeked alternate solutions in an effort to minimize any such exposure.  As a healthy organization, we will continue to benefit from Ms. Quan-Shau's admirable insight.
